…the BYD Sealion 7 is the new Chinese brand’s answer to the Tesla Model Y. It’s a large family SUV with plenty of room for five adults and their luggage. The Sealion 7 (there isn’t, as yet, a Sealion with another number so we’ll use the shorter version from hereon in) is available in three trim levels which also bring battery and motor changes.

…the Toyota Hilux double-cab pickup which has been upgraded with a new front end look, a new 2.8-litre diesel engine which gains mild hybrid technology for the first time. The six-speed automatic gearbox has also been upgraded. The result is a 0-60mph time that drops by 2.1 seconds and a torque figure that’s increased by 25% to 500Nm of shove.

…the new Grandland Electric, the pure EV version of the Vauxhall’s mid-size family SUV that’s nothing like the Grandland that went before. The electric Grandland is a five-seater with a 550 litre boot. There’s just one 73kWh battery and one 213hp motor to choose from although the Grandland can also be ordered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine.

…the Audi Q6 is an all-electric SUV that rivals the Tesla Model Y and other mid-size EVs. The Q6 etron is Audi’s latest EV and is available in three power outputs; 252hp, 306hp and 388hp.
