Florida Construction News staff writerFlorida ranked second in the nation for construction employment growth in December 2024, and was third overall for the year, according to government labor data released on Jan. 28 by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC)Employment grew by 1,800 to 671,900 or 0.3%, making it percentage-wise the 15th highest number. Over the year, employment within the state grew by 4.5% or 28,900.
