It has been part of SkyTeam since 2010. In Canada, Vietnam Airlines has no routes. In the United States, it serves San Francisco (incidentally, I almost took that route for my return; it was among the cheapest transpacific flights for my dates).

We’ll probably never see anything like the most phenomenal promotion related to an alliance change when SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) gave 1 million points to travelers like me last fall. Still… airline points are the most valuable reward currencies, by far (for economy class but especially for business class). Thanks to not tied to the flight’s cash price.

To be very clear: of course, you can boycott the United States. Long live freedom! You should always go (or *not* go) wherever you want. And Trump is doing a lot of stupid things, of course!However, we must still be clear that being afraid to enter the United States… that’s really not a good reason not to go. As for the other reasons… that’s up to each responsible adult and has nothing to do with travel. But the fear of the border deserves to be debunked.
