France 2

France 2 (pronounced [fʁɑ̃s dø]) is a national public television channel in France. It operates under the France Télévisions group, which is state-owned and includes channels like France 3, France 4, France 5, and France Ô. Additionally, France Télévisions is involved with ARTE and EuroNews. As of 3:20 CET on April 7, 2008, France 2 has been airing all its content in a widescreen 16:9 format on both analogue and digital terrestrial television. An HD version of France 2 has been available on the CanalSat satellite service since July 1, 2008, and started broadcasting on digital terrestrial television on October 30, 2008.
