Fusion magazine

Fusion magazine

Fusion is a student-run magazine at Kent State University that began in the fall of 2003, founded by editors Mandy Jenkins, Marie (Ho) Cornuelle, and advisor Kate Common. Over the years, the magazine has received numerous awards and has grown its readership. Published biannually by KSU students, Fusion focuses on issues affecting sexual minorities within the broader community, presenting them through engaging photo essays and comprehensive feature articles. The magazine is accessible in both print and online formats and aims to bring together people from various backgrounds by fostering education and awareness. Previous topics have included political developments, the intersection of religion and sexuality, domestic partner benefits, LGBT athletes in the NCAA, anti-discrimination laws, coming out experiences, gay adoption, AIDS advocacy, health-related issues, and social activism. Fusion has attracted national advertisers like Curve, a well-known lesbian magazine, and Pride & Equality Magazine.
