Gotham Baseball

Gotham Baseball

Gotham Baseball was established on April 9, 2005. Over the years, it has evolved into various formats, including a print magazine, a digital magazine, a well-loved website featuring a message board, and even a podcast. At its heart, Gotham Baseball is all about celebrating New York’s baseball scene, encapsulating "the past, present, and future of the New York game," as our tagline suggests. From the beginning, we garnered a loyal audience, with Amazon.com recognizing our print magazine as one of the Top 10 New Magazines of 2005, marking us as the only sports magazine to make the list. Our print edition ran from 2005 to 2008, and we take immense pride in the fact that our entire collection is now housed in the permanent archive at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s A. Bartlett Giamatti Research Center in Cooperstown, NY. James L. Gates, the Librarian at the Hall of Fame, noted, “We believe (Gotham Baseball) … would be a valuable addition to our library collection.” We have successfully ventured into broadcasting and have also revived the magazine in a digital format. With an updated website design, we aim to connect with even more fans of New York baseball than ever before. We invite you to join us on our virtual front porch—share your thoughts with us, tell us what you enjoy, what you don’t, and what you'd like to see more of!
