VICTORIAN trainer Jeff Britton will assess Mepunga Reward over the next week before making a decision on a Group 1 Brisbane Cup (520m) campaign at Q2 Parklands. He said this today after Mepunga Reward (Fernando Bale-Mepunga Isla) had defied Tim Zoo to win the Group 2 Cyndie's Magic (550m) at Q1 Lakeside on Thursday night. He scored by almost two lengths over the luckless Tim Zoo which was monstrous in defeat with early leader Warm Cockles in third.
