Commonwealth Fund researchers assessed over 5,600 insured adults between the ages of 19 and 65 who responded to a survey fielded from April 18 through July 31, 2023. SSRS executed the survey.

July 15, 2024 - CMS released a brief exploring the status of children with autism or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Medicaid and CHIP. Since ASD is much more common among children with public payer coverage than those who were uninsured or had private insurance, CMS data on access to care and co-occurring conditions gives important insight into this population. “ASD is a developmental disability that can cause significant social, communication, and behavioral challenges,” the brief explained.

July 08, 2024 - Medicare Advantage and individual health insurance marketplace plans achieved the best results on certain financial performance indicators in 2023, according to a KFF brief. The researchers leveraged the Health Coverage Portal from Mark Farrah Associates to assess payer financial data. The brief addressed four markets: Medicare Advantage, the group market, the individual market, and Medicaid managed care. They excluded California health maintenance organizations.

June 10, 2024 - Consumers are calling on payers to make their online provider data more accurate to improve access to care in a survey published by Kyruus Health which HealthPayerIntelligence received by email. Wakefield Research fielded the survey to 1,000 healthcare consumers in April 2024. Almost three-quarters of the respondents had private health insurance (72%), with Medicare as the second-highest source of insurance coverage (18%).

The economic measures demonstrated negative trends.
