Hood County News is a newspaper in the United States that publishes twice a week for the residents of Granbury and Hood County, Texas. It has its roots in the Granbury Vidette, which was established around 1884 by Ashley W. Crockett. Over the years, it has evolved through various mergers, ownership changes, and name updates. The newspaper took on its present form in November 1970 when it came under the ownership of Hood County News, Incorporated.
