How to make your own tabletop Chinese lantern Download and print your choice of Chinese lantern design from the three below. Fold the template in half vertically and then cut horizontal slits along the guide lines. Cut out the handle strip from the template. Using glue or sticky tape, stick the two sides of the template together to form a cylinder. Glue or tape the handle strip to the top of the lantern. You can now add a battery-powered tea light to finish off your Chinese lantern.
