    Amongst those present was John Jess, aged 81, from Southampton. He said: “ This was such a great event with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. There was a good selection of foods on offer, some amazing music and it was great to see the new Lord Mayor.”The event was vibrant and colourful and really showcased what diversity and a mix of cultures can bring to the city. This is a great celebration and definitely one that is now family placed on the event calendar for the city.

    By Sarah Groszewski. Craig David headlined the second Saturday of the Southampton Summer Sessions with his TS5 show which is on tour this summer. The daytime lead up to this concert was like a throwback to my teen years – pre-drinks, nail painting, facial glitter and the Craig David playlist on repeat. Dressed like we were young and carefree once again (but wearing flats these days, because I’m in my 40s now and have a bad back…) we headed into town ready to party like it’s 2003.
