Inside Indonesia

Inside Indonesia

Inside Indonesia was founded in 1983 in Melbourne by the Indonesian Resources and Information Program (IRIP) during a time when Australian mainstream media offered very little coverage of Indonesia. The initiative was started by a diverse group of scholars and activists who aimed to address this gap. Their goal was to shed light on the increasing number of individuals and organizations in Indonesia working towards social and political reform, despite the oppressive environment under the Suharto regime.
