Hello, I'm Joel Spolsky, your guide and the driving force behind this website. Welcome to Joel on Software, where I've been sharing my thoughts on software development, management, business, and the web since 2000. You might have noticed that my posts have been less frequent lately. Back in 2000, I co-founded Fog Creek Software, where we developed several innovative products like the FogBugz bug tracking tool, Trello, and Glitch. I also partnered with Jeff Atwood to launch Stack Overflow, serving as its CEO from 2010 to 2019. Currently, I am the chairman of the board at Glitch and have teamed up with David Wilkinson to establish a new venture called HASH.
