    The City of Pullman’s firefighters union is reminding the public of the high fire danger from cottonwood fluff. Each spring the fluff piles up around town especially on College Hill. The fluff is extremely flammable and the Pullman Fire Department responds to several fluff blazes every year. The union is asking residents to wet the fluff, rake it up and dispose of the material properly.

    The new Woodsmen Steakhouse in Juliaetta is opening this weekend. According to the restaurant’s Facebook page the Woodsmen is open today and Saturday from 4:00 to 9:00. Starting next week, the steakhouse is open Thursday through Saturday from 4:00 to 9:00.     Two blocks of Line Street on the University of Idaho campus will be closed next week. Line will be closed to traffic between 3rd and 6th Streets for Avista Utilities work. The closure near the campus power plant runs Monday through Wednesday.
