The 50 year old Pullman man accused of raping a child is out of jail while authorities continue to investigate the case. Ali Ali was arrested by Pullman Police Friday night on several felonies including 3rd degree child rape. Court documents show that Child Protective Services reported the allegations to police on Friday morning. A detective and a CPS specialist interviewed the teenaged girl and identified Ali as the suspect.

There is a planned power outage for the Uniontown and Genesee areas on Saturday. Clearwater Power customers surrounding those towns will be without power from 7:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon. The outage will allow the BPA to work on the substation at the Port of Wilma.

The University of Idaho’s country music festival around the start of the fall semester will not be returning. UI spokeswoman Jodi Walker confirms to Pullman Radio News that the music festival is not coming back due to financial considerations. Last year the multi day festival in August featured Clint Black. The year before Neal McCoy took the stage. The brief tradition began in 2022 when Craig Morgan played the UI near the start of the fall semester.
