    There will be a fundraiser bowling tournament at Zeppoz in Pullman on Saturday. The Wombat Bowling Tournament and auction will raise money for the Whitman County Humane Society and NW Cancer Foundation of Hope. Registration starts at 10:00 Saturday morning with bowling beginning at 11:00.

    Washington State University football’s Crimson and Gray Spring Showcase is on Saturday. It starts at 1:00 on Gesa Field inside Martin Stadium. New Coach Jimmy Rogers will run through drills before transitioning to live segments for about an hour. The showcase will end with a kids clinic on the field. A new offering for this WSU football event will be a beer garden inside the bowl of the stadium. The beer garden will be in the West end zone seating area. Saturday’s Cougar football showcase is free.

    Two finalists have been named for Pullman School District Assistant Superintendent. A consultant with education materials publishing company Solution Tree, Jeff Byrnes and Bozeman Schools Administrative Coach Sarah Hays are up for the job. Byrnes and Hays will take part in a community forum next week on Friday the 18th at 5:00 at Lincoln Middle School.
