Kiteworld Magazine was founded by Hugh Miller in 2001 to capture the essence of kitesurfing during its early days. At that time, there was a clear need for an independent global publication to establish kitesurfing as its own distinct sport, separate from windsurfing. Now, after 50 issues, kitesurfing has experienced tremendous growth worldwide. Despite this expansion, our goal remains the same: to authentically represent the spirit of kitesurfing as we see it. There’s no need for exaggeration; the mere mention of kitesurfing is enough to ignite a thrill of excitement and anticipation.
