The victory completed a three-game sweep and left Houston two games behind the Texas Rangers and tied with the Seattle Mariners in the AL West. Texas and Seattle were playing each other Sunday afternoon.

Wolf caught six passes for 171 yards, including a 73-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter, leading Lakeside past Camden Fairview Thursday night, 34-20. The Cardinals came into the game as favorites. However, they never got closer than 13 points after falling behind 21-0 at halftime. Fairview was penalized 15 yards on the final play of the first half.
