By Jamie H. VaughtFor the past several years, the Big Blue Nation has enjoyed Alyssa Lang’s reporting and interviews on television when she is covering UK and SEC games for the SEC Network and ESPN. While covering a Kentucky football game at Kroger Field in 2021, Lang once tried then-Wildcat (and future NFL quarterback) Will Levis’ banana snack on the air as he often ate a banana, mostly brown, with the peel on.

By Ed PeakThis is a strong NCAA Final Four with four No. 1 seeds. First time since 2008. Florida, Auburn, Duke and Houston are all well deserving of their spots in San Antonio, Texas and the Alamodome. The national semifinals will be shown on CBS, beginning at 6:09 pm ET on Saturday. The championship game will be on Monday, also on CBS, starting at 8:50 pm ET. I recently saw Auburn in Lexington in the first and second rounds of the South Region.

Not long after Pope and the 34-2 Wildcats won the 1996 national championship, the 6-foot-10 standout was selected by the Pacers in the second round of the NBA Draft, where he was the 52nd overall pick.

By Jamie H. VaughtINDIANAPOLIS – Kentucky point guard Lamont Butler plans to see a significant amount of action against the Tennessee Volunteers Friday night in an NCAA Sweet Sixteen showdown. The No. 3 seed Wildcats, ranked No. 18 in the latest AP Top 25 poll, will need Butler, who has missed nine games this season due to an injured shoulder, on the hardwood floor if they want to advance to Sunday’s Elite Eight contest against the winner of the Houston-Purdue matchup.
