L'Osservatore Romano
L'Osservatore Romano, which means "The Roman Observer" in Italian, is the daily publication of Vatican City State. It features the Pope's speeches, covers the activities of the Holy See, and reports on various events within the Church and around the globe, along with cultural pieces. While it is considered a semi-official newspaper of the Holy See, it is not deemed an official publication. Each edition includes two Latin mottos beneath its title: Unicuique suum, meaning "To each his own," and Non praevalebunt, translating to "[The gates of Hell] shall not prevail." Giovanni Maria Vian currently serves as the editor-in-chief.
