La Nación is a newspaper from Chile that was founded in 1917 by Eliodoro Yáñez and was led by Carlos Dávila until 1927. Initially, it operated as a private entity until it was taken over by President Carlos Ibáñez del Campo in 1927, after which it has been owned by the government. Today, it is managed by Empresa Periodística La Nación S.A., which is primarily owned by the State of Chile, holding a 69% stake.
