The Bill completed its committee stage in the Lords on May 15, almost four weeks ago. The parliamentary process is that it then moves on to the Report stage: this is when all members of the Lords have a further opportunity to review and amend the Bill after it’s been amended at the committee stage.

    Energy Secretary Ed Miliband says the “vast majority” of new homes in England will have to carry rooftop solar panels from 2027. Details are to be released in the autumn. A Peterborough based landlord was prosecuted and ordered to pay a total of £10,126 (including costs) for illegally evicting a tenant from a property in Cambridge. The city council received a complaint about an alleged illegal eviction and upon investigation discovered evidence that the tenant had been illegally evicted from an HMO.
