LAUGHLIN — The Laughlin High School softball team swept a doubleheader on Friday, defeating Lake Mead Christian Academy 19-3 and 23-13. The Cougars improved to 14-12 as Lanay Gutierrez and Liz Park each recorded wins. Gutierrez started the first game and then came in relief for game 2. She  also had multiple hits in the doubleheader along with Katelynn Butler, Lucy Braaksma and Park.

LAUGHLIN — The Laughlin High School baseball team dropped both games of their doubleheader on Friday against Lake Mead Christian Academy. The Cougars were shutout in both games, losing 15-0 and 19-0. They will hold senior night today in a doubleheader against Lake Mead Christian Academy.

BOULDER CITY — The Laughlin High School track and field team competed in their final race of the regular season highlighted by multiple first place victories. Kendrick Thompson came in fifth place in the long jump and also came in second in the triple jump. Gavin Addington, Santino Lopez, Victor Juarez and Henry Zatarain were the only team to run in the 4 x 800 relay and finished with a personal record of 10;45.77.

CLARK COUNTY — The Laughlin High School baseball team recorded a pair of wins on April 15 against GV Christian High School. The Cougars won 8-6 in the first game, with Anthony Celi-Brookins leading the way with three RBIs. Tristin Gurule and Adrian Diaz knocked in one, while Laughlin stole 16 bases. Ayden Whitton earned the win with five strong innings before Gurule got the save with six outs. In the second game, the Cougars stole 47 bases while Gurule added two more RBIs in the 22-6 win.
