The Recycle Bin in the Active Directory isn’t enabled by default. This means that when you delete an object (user for example) from the AD, then your only option is to restore it from the backup. With the recycle bin enabled, objects are restorable for 180 days by default. We can configure this to a lower amount if necessary, but the default is for most organizations good enough.
