Leading Edge

Leading Edge is a semi-professional magazine based at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. We feature creative works from authors and artists from all corners of the globe. The magazine originated from a science fiction and fantasy writing course at BYU, which was initially intended to be led by Orson Scott Card, but was ultimately taught by Marion Smith. The students in this class were passionate about their writing and wanted their creations to be shared beyond the classroom. With support from a student grant, Leading Edge launched in April 1981. Since then, we've proudly released two issues each year.
