Lilly Broadcasting

Lilly Broadcasting

Lilly Broadcasting, LLC is a privately held American broadcasting firm, run by brothers Brian and Kevin Lilly. Established in September 1999, the company began with the acquisition of WENY-TV (ABC) along with WENY-FM and AM radio stations. In 2002, Kevin Lilly expanded the company's footprint by acquiring WSEE-TV (CBS) in Erie, Pennsylvania. Since then, Lilly Broadcasting has added CBS and The CW affiliates in Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, as well as an ABC affiliate in the Virgin Islands. The Lilly brothers are the sons of George Lilly, who started SJL Broadcast Management (originally known as the Montecito Broadcast Group) in 1984, located in Montecito, California. SJL Broadcast Management owns WICU-TV in Erie. In 2000, SJL and Lilly Broadcasting collaborated to acquire three TV stations from Gateway Communications and later purchased four stations from Emmis Communications in 2005. Most recently, Lilly Broadcasting, in partnership with Sankety Advisors, acquired KITV (ABC) in Hawaii.
