AUSTIN (KXAN) — A multi-part black education series kicked off in Austin over the weekend, in which leaders explored ways to make education more equitable in central Texas. The Black Leaders Collective (BLC) is leading efforts in a three-part State of Black Education series. “BLC recognizes that those closest to the problem are best equipped to identify and solve their own problems,” said BLC Founder Terry P. Mitchell.

DC-themed rides were the focus of the showcase event. SAN ANTONIO – Six Flags Fiesta Texas gave guests a glimpse of the new attractions they can expect in 2024. Dancing zombies taking center stage are nothing new for the FT92 fan event. Fiesta Texas hosted the annual event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the park’s opening in 1992. “Each year more and more of our guests come to get their first taste of what we do,” said Jeffrey Siebert, President of Fiesta Texas Park.

Round Rock residents will soon have an opportunity to provide feedback and input on plans to create additional parking areas downtown. City officials are hosting an open house for the Lawn at Brushy Creek, a potential park project located at Brushy Creek North, on April 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Allen R. Baca Center for Senior Dining and Community Activities downtown rooms.
