Louisiana Public Broadcasting

Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) aims to deliver programming that is engaging, educational, and informative while also entertaining its audience. The organization works to unite the residents of Louisiana by producing content that highlights the state's rich history, diverse people, notable places, and significant events. LPB operates as a state network consisting of six non-profit television stations located in Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Monroe, and Shreveport. These stations are licensed to the Louisiana Educational Television Authority (LETA), which was established by the Louisiana Legislature in 1971. LPB also has a partnership with WLAE-TV in New Orleans. LPB features a variety of high-quality national PBS programs, such as PBS NewsHour, MASTERPIECE, NOVA, NATURE, Antiques Roadshow, and Great Performances, along with numerous educational shows from PBS KIDS. Beyond its primary channel (LPB1), LPB also offers a dedicated 24/7 children's channel (LPB2) and a lifestyle and how-to channel in collaboration with Create TV (LPB3).
