It was only my second time making these Coriander Chapatti but they’re very satisfying to make. If you can make pastry, you can make chapatti. These coriander chapatti were originally buried in the bottom of my spicy chickpea soup post but I am republishing them in their own right. We might even get fresh pictures at some point. Coriander chapatti are quite theatrical to watch, they’d merit their own video as made for Scotch Pancakes. I love watching them puff up in the hot pan.

This delicious savoury mince filling tastes fantastic in Spicy Pork Pancakes with Rhubarb. This recipe was originally lost in the bottom of a post commissioned by Morrison’s back in 2010. But I’ve dug it out to show it off properly!Rhubarb is often paired with ginger. This spicy pork pancakes recipe uses this traditional flavour combination in a savoury main course rather than a dessert. These pancake rolls are both sweet and spicy with a similar flavour to Chinese hoi sin sauce.

When I was a girl, one of my favourite jobs at my grandmother’s house was to lay the table. Probably I get my hoarding of crockery gene from her and there was an aladdin’s cave of items we never seemed to use. She would tell me “those knives are for fish”, “those dishes are for dessert”. Add to the mix, “those plates are for best”, “those glasses are for sherry” and you had one confused eight year old who just wanted to put all the sparkly shiny stuff out at once.
