by Martin Belam, May 3, 2025 This won’t be the first time I’ve played an m-orchestra gig at the witching hour, as during lockdown I did a livestream from my garden at midnight, but I’m excited that Sunday night/Monday morning I will be playing my haunted ghostly electronica at Ye Olde Rose & Crown in Walthamstow as part of the 24 hour Stow-a-thon. I am due on about 1.30am, and it is the first time I have played at this venue.

by Martin Belam, May 1, 2025 This monthly series is probably as much for my benefit as yours. I go to a lot of gigs and it is nice to have a way to remember them all. You can find all of my one-line gig reviews here.

by Martin Belam, May 2, 2025 I’ve ditched the usual blurb about “not being a movies person, but anyway…” because since I started going to the cinema regularly in 2022 I’ve turned into the kind of guy who downloads the London Film Festival brochure and meticulously plans what to see. You can find all my one-line spoiler-free reviews here.

by Martin Belam, April 9, 2025 I know it won’t come as a surprise to regular readers, but yes, I do think it is worth going to the Leigh Bowery! exhibition at Tate Modern at the moment, not least because, besides Bowery’s stuff being amazing, it comes with a sizeable dollop of the Fall right in the middle of it.
