LUDINGTON — The 47-year-old Scottville man who nearly pushed a Mason County sheriff’s deputy into a semi truck trying to disarm him was sentenced to 14-50 years in prison in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, June 17. Joshuea Michael Boger pleaded “no contest” to eight felony counts, March 13. Boger was on felony probation when he committed the crimes, said Mason County Prosecuting Attorney Beth Hand.

By Allison Scarbrough, News EditorLUDINGTON — Tensions ran high during a sentencing hearing in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, June 17, for a 60-year-old Grand Rapids man who ran over his wife with a car and killed her in 2023. Mark Lazon Casterman was sentenced to 15 to 50 years in prison Tuesday. Casterman pleaded “no contest,” May 2, 2025 to second-degree murder.
