Materials Research Society

Established in 1973 and based in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, The Materials Research Society is a dynamic, member-focused organization with a community of over 11,200 individuals. Our members hail from more than 90 countries, representing a diverse range of backgrounds from both affluent and developing nations. They come from various sectors, including industry, academia, and national laboratories, and their contributions span multiple disciplines such as chemistry, biology, physics, and engineering. With a wide array of skills—from technical know-how to organizational abilities, as well as advocacy and education—our members enrich our community with their unique experiences, perspectives, and cultural insights.
