Jones is currently the principal at Middlesboro Middle School. The superintendent contract will be from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. The motion was made byJoyce Hoskins and seconded by Mark Woods.

Superintendent Brian Crawford and Finance Director Steve Silcox presented proposed cuts that would save over $500,000 in next year’s budget. It was also made clear during the discussion that the board has no plans to close any of the schools in the district.
