Mr & Mrs Smith
You might be wondering why we chose the name Mr & Mrs Smith. Well, our journey began long before the famous movie featuring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Our focus is on creating wonderful getaway experiences for couples—a fun nod to pairs who enjoy booking a charming hotel under this classic name that evokes a sense of a romantic weekend escape. (Interestingly, we've found that many countries have their own versions of Mr & Mrs Smith.) We started our adventure by exploring unique boutique hotels not far from London. But soon, we expanded our horizons and ventured across Europe, finding delightful stays wherever we went. Now, we proudly showcase properties from all around the globe—from the beautiful beaches of Bali to the vibrant culture of Brazil, and from the stunning landscapes of Sydney to the enchanting charm of Sicily.

Saving the world looks different these days. How do you do your bit? By booking a B Corp hotel.

Teal, turquoise, marigold yellow: the apartment blocks lining the marina pop with paintbox brights, while the gleaming yachts tethered below bob on gently lapping waves. Think again: this is Exmouth, East Devon. When I was growing up in the area, this was a traditional buckets-and-spades town.

By London standards, Clerkenwell is relatively low-key. It’s lighter on postcard sights and leaves hipster swagger to Shoreditch next door, and people actually live around its serene Georgian garden squares (a word of warning: you’ll never be more tempted to buy a townhouse). But its laidback feel masks centuries of political dynamism, dining revolutions and historic intrigue, which you can discover without those pesky tourist hordes.

Dogs deserve holidays, too, but taking your pet away with you comes with a few added logistics. Whether you’re planning a short trip to the country or taking your dog abroad, booking, traveling and packing will require a little more thought. It needn’t be complicated for our canines, though.

There are two rules when taking your mother away with you for a girls’ break: the first is make sure it is somewhere impossibly chic, ridiculously luxurious, and makes her feel like a queen. The second looks after the first: take her to the Portrait Milano. I had been looking for the perfect opportunity to whisk my mum away.
