MSU Reflector
The Reflector is the official student newspaper of Mississippi State University, established in 1884. It originally started as The Dialective Reflector and ran under that name until 1889, when it was renamed to The Reflector. Since then, it has consistently published under this title, with the exception of a short time during World War II, specifically from 1944 to 1945, when it was managed by faculty and titled Maroon and White.

It truly was a “Super Bulldog Weekend” in Starkville. The Mississippi State baseball team swept a series for the first time since playing Queens March 7-9. The Diamond Dawgs had three successful games versus Kentucky this past weekend, with final scores of 14-4, 6-5, and 6-1. This was also their first SEC sweep since playing Auburn in 2024. As his first weekend as interim head coach, Justin Parker said he was pleased with the way his players responded to this quick coaching change.

Although the Mississippi State University baseball team took a series win over South Carolina in Starkville this past weekend, they are still facing a defensive slump. The first game of the series ended in a 7-3 loss with two outfield errors made by State, and zero by the South Carolina Gamecocks. During the post-game press conference, head coach Chris Lemonis commented on the team’s inability to step up. This contributed heavily to Friday’s loss.
