National League of Cities
The National League of Cities (NLC) is an advocacy group in the U.S. that represents 19,495 municipalities, including cities, towns, and villages, as well as 49 state municipal leagues. Founded in 1924, the NLC has grown into a prominent membership organization dedicated to offering education, research, support, and advocacy for city leaders nationwide. Located in Washington, D.C., it is recognized as a key member of the 'Big Seven,' a coalition of organizations focused on local and state government representation. The NLC provides training for municipal officials, organizes conferences, advocates for cities, and offers help with educational matters.
