Established in 1925, the National Bar Association (NBA) is the oldest and largest national organization primarily consisting of African-American lawyers and judges in the United States. The NBA advocates for the interests of around 65,000 legal professionals, including attorneys, judges, law educators, and students. It is structured into 23 specialized law sections, 9 divisions, 12 regions, and boasts 80 affiliate chapters both nationally and internationally. The current president, serving as the 75th leader, is Juan R. Thomas from Aurora, Illinois.
