Today is Africa Day, that hallowed day when we celebrate our beloved continent, its diverse people and cultures as well as its varied but rich resources that ought to bring positive change in the lives of the citizens of this blessed land. On this serene Friday morning and under a cloudless blue sky, an ambulance screeches to an agonizing halt outside Parktown Hospital near Waterfalls, some 15 kilometers south of Harare. A visibly traumatized female patient, face contorted and hair dishevelled, is being helped out.
