On Friday at 12:10pm, the New Bedford Fire Department responded to 125 Dartmouth Street for a reported structure fire. On arrival, Command Unit 2 reported a fire on a second floor porch. Engine Company 1 deployed one hoseline and quickly extinguished the fire. There was no extension into the dwelling units of this 2.5 story multifamily residence. No tenants were displaced by the fire.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, Marion Police were called to Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts, at approximately 12:40 p.m. after school personnel reported that Joao A. Andrade, a 38-year-old kitchen worker from New Bedford, allegedly exposed himself to two students in the school’s dining hall. You can read the original story as it broke HERE.
