Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, May 2025 – Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has recorded another major academic milestone with the full accreditation of 18 academic programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC), following its October/November 2024 accreditation exercise. The confirmation of the accreditation was conveyed in a letter dated April 30, 2025, and signed by Engineer Abraham Chundusu, Acting Director of Accreditation, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC.

Last week was a dark one for journalism in Nigeria. The light of two of its bright stars, Hajiya Amina Alhassan Ahman and Haruna Dauda Biu dimmed and blew out. Amina was cast in the print section of the profession, while Haruna was a star in broadcast journalism. By way of a background, we confirm that the issues leading up to the judgment arose from a legacy transaction between the defunct FSB International Bank and Sagecom Concepts Limited. FSB granted a credit facility to G. Cappa Plc in 2002 for the sum of USD3 million.
