Carnegie-Knight News21 is a nationwide journalism initiative based at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. It brings together exceptional journalism students from all over the country to create comprehensive, multimedia stories for prominent media organizations such as The Washington Post, NBC News, and USA Today. Selected students participate in an intensive spring seminar where they delve deep into a specific topic. This is followed by a 10-week summer reporting fellowship. During this fellowship, students work out of a newsroom at the Cronkite School and have opportunities to travel across the U.S. and even to other countries to gather information and develop their projects.
