TV On The Radio frontman Tunde Adebimpe has released a new video for “Somebody New,” from his debut solo album, Thee Black Boltz, due for release on April 18th via Sub Pop Records. Adebimpe will perform at Los Angeles’ Zebulon this Thursday, April 17 in an intimate record release show. The album’s fourth pre-release, “Somebody New”, the video, directed by Adebimpe, is a trippy time capsule of neon, glitter and what can only be described as no-holds-barred, stark raving puppet glam.

Adrianne Lenker has anounced a new live album entitled Live at Revolution Hall. The LP combines audio from 3 days of the 2024 Bright Future tour and features live performances of fan favourites, deep cuts and unreleased tracks “happiness”, which is now available. Engineered by Andrew Sarlo’s at times onstage with Lenker, Nick Hakim (piano) and Josefin Runsteen (violin), then over the crowd, through walls, and even out the door.

caroline announce their new LP new album caroline 2 will drop on May 30th via Rough Trade Records. The band recorded the LP over various writing sessions in the UK, with recording primarily taking place at Big Jelly Studios in Ramsgate. The album was produced by the band’s own Jasper Llewellyn, Casper Hughes and Mike O’Malley, it was engineered by Syd Kemp, mixed by Jason Agel and mastered by Heba Kadry in NYC.

The Painters share Single Cell Nostalgia, a new EP through via their imprint EEL Records. The Montreal band’s EP was Mixed and mastered by co-producers Josh Boguski and Michael Halls (both of Whitney K). “The EP opens “That Could Be Me”, a jangly, The Feelies-esque ode to unrequited love, driven by wiry guitars and a propulsive rhythm section. “Nameless Star” follows, twisting krautrock propulsion into interstellar power-pop.

Los Angeles based singer-songwriter recently completed a tour supporting Kim Deal. She will join Rilo Kiley on a run of dates this spring, and a show with Kurt Vile in Orange County on June 19th. Ora the Molecule has released a new Úlfur Kjalar Eyjólfsson directed video for “Becoming A Human,” the song is off the artist’s album Dance Therapy, now available via Mute. She has also announced May US tour dates that will include Los Angeles, Seattle and New York. Speaking on the video, she says: “Ulfur was the bartender at this place I used to DJ and one day he told me he wanted to make a music video.
