NV Publications

In 1984, Ted Vilardi Jr. and his business partner established N.V. Business Publications and launched Board Converting News (often referred to as The White Sheet) to cater to the needs of the corrugated and folding carton sectors. By addressing the requirements of both converters and suppliers, BCN quickly became the most popular and esteemed publication in North America for the corrugated, folding carton, and rigid box industries. Over time, the company expanded its offerings to include publications focused on recycling and flexographic printing. In the late 1980s, they partnered with Brunton Publications from the UK, which helped both companies broaden their international reach. After 18 years of leadership, Ted Vilardi passed the company to his son Tom, who further developed Board Converting News, Recycling Markets, Flexo Market News, and Corrugated Today, a collaborative project with Brunton Publications. Tragically, Tom passed away after a courageous battle with cancer in 2018, and the company is now managed by industry experts Robyn Smith and Len Prazych.
