OMNI Television

OMNI™ is a free, over-the-air television network that caters to Canada's rich diversity by offering a variety of multicultural and multilingual programming. It operates five stations located in British Columbia, Alberta (Calgary and Edmonton), and Ontario (OMNI.1 and OMNI.2), reaching a total audience of 22.7 million people across the country. OMNI provides weekly news broadcasts in different languages and features locally produced programs that celebrate diversity. Additionally, viewers can enjoy a range of international content, such as Bollywood hits, Asian films, and popular Italian and Portuguese telenovelas. OMNI Television is owned by Rogers Broadcasting Limited, a part of Rogers Communications Inc. (TSX: RCI and NYSE: RCI), a major Canadian media and communications company.

    Abisoye Akinpelu and her children were among the 25 immigrants at a Calgary citizenship ceremony on Saturday, ready to become Canadian citizens. “I feel so accomplished. It’s a long journey for us and it’s been filled with ups and downs, but it’s worth it,” Akinpelu, who came to Canada from Nigeria, said.
