The relaunch is initially planned in partnership with RedCat Hospitality – the operator behind the Coaching Inn Group and RedCat Independent Pubs. Developed by paper packaging manufacturer EvoPak, the new paper wrapper (known as MRCM) which incorporates a layer of Aquapak’s Hydropol, which claims to make unrecyclable packaging recyclable because it is ‘dissolvable and biodegradable’.

Marsden Packaging attains AA Grade for food and beverages in BRCGS audit

The Blackburn-based firm supplies contract packing solutions for the food and beverage industry, with almost 50 years of experience. The AA grade was awarded to Marsden Packaging following an audit conducted in February 2025. “We are thrilled to have achieved an AA grade in our recent BRCGS audit. We have consistently achieved this grade since it was introduced in 2016,” said Michael Briggs, managing director, Marsden Packaging.

Bristol Waste opens £5m recovery facility in Avonmouth

The 2,160sq m plant is capable of processing six tonnes an hour of material, and will “dramatically” increase the city’s recycling capacity, said the company. Managing director Richard Williams described the opening of the facility as a “momentous” development by creating an enhanced ability to process, sort and bale waste. “Bristol has long been a leader in recycling. We’ve held the top spot for recycling among comparable English cities for eight years,” said Williams.
