Established on September 22, 1989, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is a global non-profit organization focused on athletes. It consists of an elected Governing Board, a dedicated management team, and several Standing Committees and Councils. Since 1999, our headquarters have been located in Bonn, Germany. The IPC is primarily tasked with assisting over 200 member organizations in growing Para sport and promoting social inclusion. Additionally, we are responsible for organizing and ensuring the success of the Paralympic Games, and we serve as the international federation for 10 different Para sports.
