Darren and Helen Knight (pictured right) have been appointed managers of the 40-acre Seven Oaks Holiday Park, at Coedway, near Shrewsbury.

A Preston-based holiday and leisure business has secured an eight-figure funding package from HSBC UK to expand its operations into Scotland. We learn more…Harrison Holidays has used HSBC UK funding to acquire Crofthead Holiday Park, which occupies 85-acres on the coast of Ayrshire in Scotland. HSBC UK supported the acquisition, increasing the family-run business’ pitches by 575, bringing their overall pitch ownership to more than 3,000 acrossits ten UK holiday parks.

Older home owners are clogging up the housing market, according to new research…The latest research from over-50s property specialist, Regency Living, reveals that 74 per cent of over-50s live in homes with more than three bedrooms despite the vast majority living in households of less than three. At the same time, around half of those actively looking to upsize to a larger home are struggling to do so, with a lack of suitable stock being one of the key reasons.

An East Sussex park operator is seeking permission to change the use of one of its sites from holiday to residential. We find out more…Osborn Leisure Ltd wants to convert Chestnut Meadow Country Park, in Bexhill, from a holiday park to a full-time, permanent residential development. Its application seeks permission to for 22 static caravans, which are currently on-site, to become full-time residential accommodation.
