Fire Station One Hotel kept on surprising me from the moment I spotted it through the taxi window to the moment I checked out. Entering through the showroom was a briefly confusing moment quickly resolved by the friendly staff. The building served as a fire house to the local community for 100 years after which it was unoccupied for 15 years. Just a bit over a year ago a local furniture company, TXTUR, reopened the doors to this historic building as a showroom, boutique hotel, and restaurant.
