Peoples Daily
Peoples Daily is a Nigerian newspaper that started out as a weekly publication in November 2008 before transitioning to a daily format in November 2009. The official launch took place in March 2010 during a ceremony in Abuja. The Board of Directors is chaired by Malam Wada Abdullahi Maida. At the launch event, Malam Ismaila Isa emphasized that, contrary to some rumors, the Peoples Daily is not owned by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Instead, it is owned by a collective of more than 40 media professionals.
