Logan City Council has officially opened its newly upgraded Animal Management Centre in Kingston, following a $21 million redevelopment. The facility, located at 213 Queens Road, was showcased during a community open day, allowing residents to tour the site and meet animals ready for adoption. A therapy dog program is helping students who are struggling in school reconnect with their education, with more than 1,300 young people supported so far. Paw Pals, run by MacKillop Family Services, provides trained therapy dogs and facilitators to work with students who face barriers to learning.
