    Trusty: Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said yesterday his panel will vote April 30 on the nomination of Olivia Trusty to serve as the third Republican on the FCC. If confirmed, Trusty would give Republicans a one-vote majority control of the agency. FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks, a Democrat, has announced he is leaving this spring. That would leave only one Democrat – Anna Gomez. It’s unclear whether President Trump will nominate someone to replace Starks.
