Tim Pool, a pro-Trump social media commentator, said his company would assist federal law enforcement “in whatever way we can” after federal prosecutors alleged that Tenet Media, a startup media company that paid him millions, acted as a front for a covert Russian influence campaign targeting Americans. If the allegations were true, Pool said last year, that meant he and other commentators who held contracts with the company “were deceived and are victims.”Last week, Pool changed his tune.

I am looking to produce a multi-part series about “Project 2025”: a plan cooked up by some of the most powerful conservative think tanks in DC to make a power grab from the executive branch should Trump return to office after the 2024 election. Much of this plan exists out in the open in the form of a 920-page policy mandate, and I think unpacking this plan is key to understanding the stakes of next year’s electoral cycle.

Most people are inherently good, I think, and more often than not make decisions they truly believe are the best for themselves and the people they love at any given inflection point. But decisions are only as sound as the information they are based upon and the clarity of the contexts they are made within. I’ve always thought offering quality information could inform better decision-making and that maybe one day the world would be a smidge better for it.

Hi all,I am moving Posting Through It, or what remains of it at the moment, back to Substack. It costs hundreds of dollars to host a newsletter on Ghost, which was less of an issue when I had readers and listeners donating to keep things afloat. But now that this project is largely dormant, it doesn’t make sense for me to spend that kind of money on hosting. Substack, for all the gripes I’ve had about how the company has acted in public, does not charge for hosting itself.

Horribly, that contempt usually serves them well. Over the last couple of weeks, filings in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against Fox News have given the general public plenty of examples of this contempt.
